The Problem: So you are a pregnant teen and the choices given to you are tough.But now ((unless you were raped)) you must deal with the ultimate consequence of your PROMISCUITY.
Choices?: Abortion,Adoption,and Parenting.
Abortion, in my eyes,is NOT an act against god. Don't you ever let anyone tell you otherwise! Its YOUR body, not theirs.They are merely crazed bible thumpers and/or Pro-life Nazi's. This choice could mean freedom from the baby you never meant to create.
Adoption: So your going to be a nine month house for your baby? Thats very unselfish of you. Giving a baby to people who cannot have their own must be very fullfilling. You are owning up to your mistake. But remember this will most likely break your heart. To see a baby you carried be taken away and never/rarely seen again. Im just saying, be prepared.
Parenting: So you want to be a teen mommy? More power to ya. Having a baby is a financial, emotional, and phsyical NIGHTMARE. Are you prepared for such a decision?
You can no longer think about YOUR needs, oh no, your life from now on is about your BABY. Is that okay with you?
I am 17 and currently wondering if i am pregnant (after i stupidly went through with UNPROTECTED sex, i still feel like an idiot)But if i am pregnant, i will most certainly go through with an abortion. I am too young and too poor to support a child and i am selfish in the aspect that i dont want my Junior year wasted by housing an unwanted baby.
So in the end I say:
Keep your options open and remember you always have a choice!!! Its YOUR body, NOT the anti-abortion freaks, not your parents,not your boyfriends, just yours. There will be chances later in life to have children. A baby is a HUGE responsibility.
