I'm writing this comment now in hopes (possibly vain- seeing as how some of these comments are several years old) of teaching the girls on here some unbiased, truthful, and helpful information. Let's begin. Masturbation- Every girl begins masturbating at a different age, and every girl's body is different, so some girls may like doing some things that other girls may not like. There are two main ways to masturbate, as a female: cl*toral stimulation and vaginal stimulation. For those of you who don't know their female anatomy, listen up. If you can, grab yourself a hand mirror, lock yourself in a private room, and look at your parts down there. Here's a rundown of what you have: Every girl has two "lips" that cover and protect her intimate area. You may or may not have hair on your lips. As you grow older and experience puberty, you will slowly begin to grow more hair there (also, you will get it on the "triangle" shaped area above your intimate parts.) This is normal and natural and means you are sexually maturing. If you push your lips apart, at the top of your "area" will be a little bump- this is your cl*toris. Many girls like rubbing their cl*toris for sexual stimulation. I personally enjoy cl*toral stimulation more than any other form of sexual stimulation. Some girls like to rub things that vibrate against their cl*toris. Try it if you want sometime. If you don't like it, then stop. Every girl's body is different. Underneath your cl*toris is your urethra, a very tiny hole (which you probably won't be able to see.) This is where you pee from. Your "pee hole" and your vagina are TWO DIFFERENT HOLES. Also, don't cave into peer pressure. Just because "everyone" is having sex, doesn't mean you have to if you don't want to! Wait until you feel the time is right. Spend a lot of time masturbating and leanring what feels good to your body before you have sex. Now, let's say you ARE ready to have sex. The NUMBER ONE RULE to having sex is HAVE THE GUY WEAR A CONDOM. A condom will protect you against pregnancy. Please remember that the whole reason people, animals, and every creature on the earth have sex is to reproduce- that is, make babies. So take pregnancy prevention SERIOUSLY. You should always have the guy wear a condom every time you have sex. The "pull out" method DOES NOT WORK. Once you begin having sex, you should start regularly seeing an OBGYN doctor. They will help keep your vagina and the rest of your body safe and healthy. If you are having sex for the first time, it might hurt a little. This is because of several possible reasons. One of those possibilities is that your hymen is being broken. It will sting but it shouldn't hurt you too much. Another possibility is that your vagina is dry. Take time to foreplay with your partner. Kiss and touch each other, and either stimulate yourself with your hands or safe sex objects, or let your partner do it for you. Do not be embarassed to stimulate yourself in front of your partner. I promise you, he will find it sexy ;-) Also, do not be shy about your needs! Tell your partner simple commands- like "stop", "go", "go faster" or "go slower", "touch me (here)", "go deeper" or "less deep", "harder" or "softer". Simple commands like these will help your partner understand what you need to feel good. Good communication is key to sex. Tell him exactly what you need! You want to be VERY wet during sex. The wetter your vagina is, the less it will hurt and the better it will feel. That's why forepley is so important- you want to get all worked up and ready before he inserts his penis into you. If you are still too dry, even with proper foreplay, then you might want to consider buying sexual lubricant. There are lots of different kinds you can buy (they're usually located near the condoms in stores), but it doesn't really matter what you get. You can even try a few out alone while you masturbate and see what you like best! My only word of advice on lubricant, and this is very important, is IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE SEX, USE A WATER-BASED LUBRICANT. DO NOT USE ANYTHING WITH OIL IN IT. Oil breaks down latex- and condoms are made of latex. So using oil-based lube or baby oil or vaseline while you have sex is a bad idea. If you are relaxed, wet, and ready, sex should feel pretty good. The last reason sex might hurt is that you might have a yeast infection or other infection, but this is most likely not the cause.
