Alright so I had this project due and my teacher told us to pick partners so obviously I chose my best friend and he gives us this warning saying not to choose our friends because they will probably not come through and we won't finish the project and we will fail and then they won't be friends anymore because it's happened and my friend didn't do it becuase he mom "put her to bed early" at like 7:30 and then when we tried to do it in class there wasn't any computers left and now I'm failing science and im grounded and my friend blamed the entire thing on me so now all my other friends are mad at me my parents are mad at me and my teacher is mad at me

Captain Oct 22 2014 6:01pmFLAG@Captain. The first thing is to take a few deep breaths and calm down. Try to explain to your teacher and/or your parents what happened. Another good idea is to do the project to the best of your ability tonight, and turn in what you can, even if your teacher doesn't accept it, they'll see you as a proactive student. Another thing I do, and so should you, is to ask the teacher if there is any work that I can do for extra credit, teachers absolutely love seeing a student be proactive, and unless they are a complete ass, they'll be willing to help you out.

Captain, failing a quarter of a class is not a big deal, you will have to work hard second quarter to get credit for the semester, but don't fret. Freshman year, I failed all but three of seven classes first quarter, but I worked hard and got credit for the semester.
