DO YOU THINK HAWAII IS TOO FAR AWAY?

Question: Located all by itself way out in the middle of the world's largest ocean, Hawaii is the most geographically isolated major population center on the face of the Earth (2,400 miles from the nearest continent). August 21, 2009 marks the 50th Anniversary of Hawaii Statehood. Do you think the 50th State is simply TOO FAR AWAY???
