How about let his sister know, and have her "accidentally" slip about it? How about asking his sister what kind of guy he is and consider everything else too. Have his sister find out which party he will be attending next, goto the party and say 'Hi!' to him. Strike up a conversation. If he stays taking with you for more than 10 minutes, and keeps making eye contact, he is interested. But if he keeps looking at his drink r the floor, he is shy as hell. If you have the latter, ask him to the movies cause he is too shy to do it. If he suddenly walks away,or calls someones name, then he may be trying to avoid you.
