Is America how you would like it?

Question: Do you prefer having your medical expenses paid for when your over 60? Safe and clean housing for all? Public transportation to all medium sized towns? The destruction of all gangs and organized crime? The establishment of an American Socialist State?

America is the only place you can start with nothing and build wealth. Why do you think everyone wants to come here?

America needs to abolish the restrictions, and revert to the True Capitalist state which it once was, back in the great days of glory. People need to work for what they get, otherwise people like me would just take advantage of the system, like I do (I'm really pretty good at it, haven't had to work for six years, and no taxes:_P)

We need a conservative, and right now Bush is the only choice.

Everyone complains about America....But all of 'em want to come here and no one wants to leave.

I will never want to go to america if it keeps burying itself deeper

In theory communism is a state in which you work for what you get. I think The UK and US need a kick up the arse in that direction

I agree with James Laws. I'm from Florida and I couldn't have expressed it any better than that. A boot in the ass is definitely needed.

What kind of country calls itself great while it doesn't take care of it's citizens? I'm for a much better health care system and social reforms. We may be doing better than other countries in a lot of ways, but we still suck in too many to count.

Sam. As of this year (2004)Moscow has more billionares than any other city in the world (not rubles, greenback billionares). China and India are currently creating more extremely wealthy individuals than the States. Patrick, 96% of Americans agree with you yet last year there was an enormous poll taken throughout 3rd world countries (something like 15,000 people polled per country) and about 96% of them said they would not move to Amercia if given the chance. There are also plenty of examples of immigrants who come over here and can't adjust to our customs and only stay long enough to raise their American children or they become trapped here until retirment but all they really want to do is go home. As for me, I think that there's always room for improvement but overall America is doing fine.

Every one needs to start looking at the fators that really matter.America is not perfect and there are many things that need changed, BUT come on we live in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!! We have all the opportunity in the world. This country will never be where it should under God's law.(bible) I believe that are president is doing a very good job and trying to bring morals back to the white house. America is a great county, and also 96% of 3rd world countries might have said they wouldnt want to move to America, but if they actually came I wonder how many would stay. Truthfully we all need to be very thankful for where God put us.

The major problem with the US is that it is becoming a theocracy and 2.9 billion dollars of private funding went into this years election. That means there are a lot of favours owed to a very few already powerful and wealthy people. The government has a difficult if not impossible task of representing all of the people equitably.

America is almost perfect. The only thing that could improve it would be to appoint George W. Bush to the title and position of "King Of The United States Of America" and make that appointment permanent. King Bush should be granted unlimited power and authority to be used at his discretion.

I'm a firm believer that America should let the world fend for itself. Let them solve their own problems. Tell the United Nations to move out. Perhaps to Europe where all of the world's problems began in the first place.

You know what's really funny to me in a sad and twisted way. I always read stories and see news reports of people in other countries saying "Yankee Go Home" and yet when we tell other people to go home, we're called biggots.

America should be a Matriarchy under a Womyns Supremacasist government.

Lots of people have great ideas for government programs designed to help people. Yet few people pause to consider: How can we PAY for these government programs? Considering that federal, state and city goverments are already thousands of BILLIONS of dollars in debt, this is a most difficult question to answer.

I love the country exactly the way it is. It sounds good on the surface to hope for change, but be careful what you wish for. This is the greatest nation on Earth, enjoy your way of life while you can, and remember how fortunate we are to be free and prosperous.

To james Laws, comment #6 & #7. The only thing we regret is that we have to keep burying ourselves to keep you fools out.
