Are Men Intimidated By The Prospect Of Female Supremacy?

Men are intimidated at work and at home right now.

They have good reason. Today's world is designed for female success.

A WomanJun 18 2004 10:39am
As women exert themselves, men become more submissive.

AnonymousJun 18 2004 12:47pm
With all the information being publicized about the superiority of females over males, I think it is reasonable for us to be intimidated. It is a different kind of intimidation than we know how to deal with. Who ever thought women would become known as the stronger sex? Somehow the pecking order changed without us really paying attention.

BruceJun 19 2004 5:23am
everywhere you look you see images of women making men look like hopeless clowns. If they're not outperforming men intellectually, then they're simply kicking them in th groin. There's hardly a comedy movie that doesn't have some guy getting it in the nuts. It's common knowledge that the male sex is simply a derivation of the superior female form due to the presence of the deteriorating y chromosome. There are many best selling books all about the questionable future of the male sex. We are witnessing the end of the battle of the sexes. Just like an ultramarathon, the males start out faster but eventually they run out of steam and the long term power of women leaves only one clear winner. Women. Since the lid was blown off the male myth, men have been adjusting to their new role as women's inferiors. Of course it's intimidating to men. Women are often able to make men feel completely helpless without the woman even lifting a finger. Most men are hypnotized by women's physical presence - on the other hand, most women find men's bodies rather silly looking. They are amused by men's strutting their muscles, but not at all hypnotized. Women kknow that men's muscles don't really make men strong. Women have strength that surpasses anything that men can imagine. She can do more with a glance than Hercules could do with every muscle in his body.

You're not intimidated--you're fantasizing about it.

ShockoJun 28 2004 10:48am
Shocko, you're wrong. It's not a fantasy. And even if some males fantasize about the superiority of women, what's wrong with that? The power of women is exciting. And intimidating.

thoroughly intimidatedJun 28 2004 9:14pm
I doubt women find your "intimidation" very exciting.

ShockoJun 29 2004 8:27am
You're wrong again, Shocko. Most women find the idea that a man is able to admit his inferiority to her very exciting. Women are excited by men who are honest with them. But you probably don't have enough experience with women to know that.

intimidated by womenJun 29 2004 10:02am
Men who think women are still dazzled by the he man, macho, cowboy dude thing are way behind the times. Personally, I like a man who will snuggle, be gentle and actually engage in conversation. I am in the majority on this. The question is "Can Shocko learn to snuggle?"

DianeJun 29 2004 11:18am
No! Beware of the snuggle! Don't let the copulins transfer!!!!

AnonymousJun 30 2004 9:17am
what are copulins?

MeJun 30 2004 9:18am
elaine, you need mind-control substances to learn how to spell better. Nobody has proven copulins work, but my personal experience is that they are very powerful compounds.

Kevin Canadian BaconJul 06 2004 8:41am
Any man who lets a woman pump copulins into him is a pussy.

Women rule. All a women has to do is set the rules and conditions. It's the man's choice to stay, submit, or look elsewhere. As time goes on, and more women take a stand, the only choice will be submit to the superior female. I urge men to openly acknowledge that their woman is superior. Bow down to her and accept her rule. Her superiority and sexual power are for her enjoyment. When a women witnesses her man's submission, she can enjoy the power rush but she must also rule wisely.

STTGSep 09 2004 5:38am
The fact that men are intimidated means they're insecure, which means they know they were never as superior to women as they imagined.

AnonymousSep 10 2004 10:02am
I used to be intimidated but not anymore because I don't compete with them anymore. It used to frustrate me that they were better organized and quicker thinkers but giving in to them has actually made me more productive. Besides, I make a good enough living to have travelled all over the world and now I'd much rather work for a woman than a man.

AnonymousSep 15 2004 9:20am
Me too. I've had female bosses in the past and wish I had one now. Women make better leaders.

SamOct 01 2004 5:21am
Of course men are intimidated by the prospect of female superiority. Male self identity is completely wrapped up with their need to outdo everyone around them. A man can't handle the fact that a woman is better than him. He sees it as is worst nightmare because every fiber of his being knows that she has power he will never have. When women compete with men - men run scared!

men are wimpsNov 02 2004 3:19pm
I think they're right, we are intimidated by them but most of us are embarrassed to admit it. Especially these days with so many authors writing books and articles saying women are superior.

KKNov 07 2004 4:21pm
I doubt that any embarrassment is as acute as it used to be. Men still shudder at the thought of losing to a woman in a physical or athletic challenge but intellectually, women have been outperforming us so substantially and so consistently that in that realm, it is no longer shameful to lose out to a woman. I don't know if it ever really was but professionially it used to be but not any longer. Scholastically they've had the advantage for quite a while. Really, the educational doors didn't open until the GI bill was put into effect after WWII. Prior to that, only the wealthy ever went to university regardless of their sex. So from about 1945 to 1980 women didn't have much motivation to do well in school but since they've been pouring into the workforce, the educational achievement gap has been steadily widening and now, ofcourse, they are excelling in the professional world too. I don't think very many men find that embarrassing. As far as "when women compete with men - men run scared" Yeah. That's true and for good reason.

why worry about it.I have been had over by so many men at work and life that i could not care who is in charge,as long as they are fair.

billFeb 21 2005 2:19pm
There is nothing to worry about. The female will take the power but still respect the male. They will both be sexually aroused. It is just nature. Every now and then things turn around. The male has been dominating in power but now the female will be dominating in power. It is no big deal at all. It is just the way it is. It does not make females superior over males. They are equal and will always be.

I think a lot of men are intimidated by it because of the realization that it is actually developing in reality. It was safe when it was just considered a fantasy.

I have seen many comments from men in these polls who are angry, desperate, and frustrated. They try their best to make an argument against the obvious truth. I think deep inside they are scared to death by what is happening around them.

sue,to be honest im more worried by the way the world seems to be heading for complete meltdown. All the wars and disasters seem to increase every year, and i for one would be suprised if we last another century at the rate we are f*cking it all up. So while i would love to see if women could do any better at running this mad old world,i very much doubt they will ever get a proper chance, before some maniac, either a world leader or some terrorist causes a war that will end it all.

Gradually men are learning that in the long run it is better to give in to the feminization of society because it is happening anyway no matter how much they try to resist it. There will come a day when no one will be able to imagine that men were once in charge.

My wife might be smarter, she has more endurance and in the last two years she has put on more than twenty pounds of muscle in our home gym. Yes I'm intimidated. She is flexing her muscles often and comparing them to mine now and says she will be stronger than me.

StanMar 20 2006 8:17pm
Since women are so superior, let THEM fight the wars while us weak and stupid men stay home and enjoy life without women. Contrary to popular belief, us men can be very happy without sex. Being away from women helps us males to focus our minds and find true meaning. And save lots of money.

I hope to be intimidated by a Woman controlled society otherwise how could more intransigent males than myself not be kept in check. For certain once male power has been destroyed there will be less crime an violence and certainly no war.But a strong Womens, Police Force, courts, education system, family will be neccessary in order to keep any unruly males down. If i avert my eyes down to the shoes or boots of the Police Woman sauntering past me for fear of appearing upity the breasts of Women the world over will beat gently and confidently with little worry that things will return to the horrid patriarchy.

Has anyone here read THE WAR AGAINST BOYS, by Christina Hoff Sommers? I just finished reading it, and it is excellent. There is a new poll on the topic of that book: www.likelike.com/poll.php?poll_id=2603

AnonymousSep 28 2006 11:59am
I see I'm not the only one intimidated. My wife handles the finances is quicker mentally in things like math, spelling, and decisions. The final challenge seems to be in physical strength and muscle. We have a home gym with nice equipment that we use together. Over the course of the last few years she has continued to gain strength and muscles. Most noticable is her endurance and being able to out perform me in our gym. This in turn seems to pay off in being able to build her muscles at a little better pace than me. Now she is stronger by far in her legs and slightly stronger in her upper body with a more developed physique. I'll admitt to my jealousy but at the same time I now want her to push herself as I watch her muscles at work and how well developed they are. She claims that her muscles have more fast twitch fiber than mine and this is why she is now stronger and even more muscular but when I read about the subject I can't understand how she also has much more muscular endurance? She came from behind on this and gained on me at a steady pace until she became stronger than me.

frightened little boyOct 29 2008 3:05am
There is nothing to fear but the fact that we're all human. We just need to wake up to what that means.

a guyNov 03 2008 10:29pm
Yes, there's really nothing to fear. We simply must start prepare ourselves to be Women's slaves. It's just so easy! If you are a married male creature, simply ask yourself, "What else can i do to make my Wife's life more pleasant? Do i give Her all the money i earn? Have i given up smoking and heavily drinking? Do i polish Her shoes every evening? Can i do some more chores? Do i satisfy Her in bed? Do i massage Her body every night? Do i kiss Her feet and behind? Do i lick Her pussy? Have i told Her that She should belt me if She is not satisfied with my behaviour? How many times a day do i tell Her that She is superior and i am inferior?" Each of us (who doesn't live with FemDom lifestyle so far) ought to ask himself these simple (and similar) questions and then start doing it all. And the questions may be answered positively step by step -- say, one question a week. And in a year such a male will be quite ready to accept full FemDom. And accepting and then deepening it must be the main purpose of each of us!

Lets just make the switch now. You now see most women wearing pants, slacks, jeans and suits that resemble mens, and cotton underwear made to look like mens with fake flys.Maybe men would be a lot more comfortable wearing dresses and panties, a lot cooler for sure.

JamesOct 02 2009 4:24am
Men are not wimps, they merely require a more flexable and efficient self identity paradigm, one perhaps not entirely dissimilar to that of women.

Frightened little boy. Like the animal kingdom, men will be eaten by women. During that period, if you cannot breed or be useful as a slave, some woman will take you under her wing to fatten you up for the slaughter. The good news: if.she is going to fatten you up, you will have lots of good food. And women are great cooks. Secondly the slaughter will be fast and painless. Because women are nurturers. And they don't want any living thing experiencing pain, especially those who will become part of her flesh.

The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology, at the University of Colorado in Boulder in 2000 found that female muscle had 75% more endurance over male muscle. The study found that women outlasted men by an average of 75 percent during muscle contractions under a load. But rather than some kind of motivational effect, the study found the difference was due to some feature of the muscles. In studies carried out at the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland, for example, 10 male and nine female strength athletes (powerlifters and body-builders) performed 20 maximal squat lifts, with three minutes of recovery between each lift. After the 20 lifts, the fatigued leg muscles of both males and females had lost about 20-24% of their maximal strength. However, various indicators of muscular power favoured the females. For one thing, the force-time curve an indicator of muscles ability to contract powerfully and quickly changed negatively by 28% in the males over the course of the workout but dropped by only 19% in the females. Females also recovered from the 20-lift session more quickly. One hour after the workout, female lifters leg muscles could generate about 92% as much force as before the session, whereas male muscles were just 79% as strong. Why was the fatigue greater and recovery slower in males? Part of the problem seemed to be that the male lifters nervous systems became less responsive over the course of the workout. From the first to the 20 lift, activation of leg muscles by nerve cells fell by 20-25% in males but held fairly steady in females. While its not clear why male nerve activation should deteriorate more quickly, it is clear that females lose less of their muscular power during heavy-duty resistance training and seem to recover more rapidly once a tough session is over. (Neuromuscular Fatigue and Recovery in Male and Female Athletes during Heavy Resistance Exercise, International Journal of Sports Medicine, vol. 14(2), pp. 53-59, 1993)

I can see a future where women take over the power, both in bigger companies and in politics. The reason is that they are doing so much better in school and get better grades. Once they have come to the top floor they will let other women in and men have to see their power diminish. When it comes to physical differences it will take much longer before women are as big and as strong as men but already know I believe that the gap is closing. More women than men work out and they will in many cases become stronger then men. The size difference will alos change but this will take hundreds of years, but if there is no need for men to be bigger than women I think the gap will close here as well. And let's say that women start to prefer smaller men than the big hunks as their mates, then once again the gap will close sooner. I am a 47 year old woman, executive with a lot of employees. I am 5'9 with an athletic body after years of work outs in gyms and dojos. My husband is my size, in good shape but not at all as strong as me since he is not into lifting weights and martial arts like I am. We discovered more than 10 years ago that I was physically stronger than him. He is working as a history teacher, he does most of the cooking at hime, he has taken more care of our kids than me since I have had a bigger work load. He is OK with all this but he can still be very frustrated when I overpower him when we wrestle for fun. I am today a lot stronger than him and my judo training makes it possible for me to keep him in hold after hold, draining him from all his power and then we have sex, the best foreplay in the world. Luckily he is OK with this and even enjoys to loose since he gets his reward, he he.

All signs point to a future in which women will be the dominant sex. Yes, I am intimidated by the prospect of this. "laura from italy" intimidates me because I know that I could not stand up to her and she is the woman of the future. Omphale intimidates me too. I don't want to wear panties.

Intimidated MaleJan 14 2011 12:55pm
Intimidated Male -- Omphale was Queen of Lydia (in what is now Turkey). For many, she is a symbol of "gender reversal." For a while, she owned the mighty Hercules. As her slave, he did "women's work" like spinning and weaving while she carried around his huge club (phallic symbol of would be male power?). Thus, be wary of "Omphale rules." She will make you do more than just wear panties. She will make you do all the "women's work" in panties while she is away doing "man's work" as a high ranking boss with lots of male underlings.

Classical ScholarFeb 01 2011 10:45am
**GOOD GIRL**, classical scholar! You receive a B- for your research. You would have given an "A" had you not left a few more important details. Omphale not only haughtily did wield hercules' olive- wood club, She wore his Nemean lion's skin warrior's garb, while She kept hercules dressed as one of the handmaidens of Her court. Furthermore Omphale made it known the other handmaidens should consider hercules the LOWLIEST in rank among ALL the other serving girls. So these maidens all day exercised THEIR power to taunt and to order the femininely attired 'hero' about dainty and degrading domestic duties. ==== So delightful, the world's MOST powerful male feminized and submitting in girlish shame to the LEAST of Omphale Female servants.... ===== Oh would Hippolyte might see HER

Ashesh GhoseMar 09 2011 5:37am
I deserve a B- instead of an A for not knowing and so not including Omphale's making Hercules -- the world's most powerful male -- rank below and submit to the least of her female servants. Poor Hecules! ;) How he must have felt! :) Thanks for the additonal info. While Hercules is a symbol of the physically most powerful male, in the Middle Ages, Aristotle was the symbol of the greatest male intellect. St. Thomas Aquinas referred to him simply as "The Philosopher," knowing that everyone knew who he meant. Also in the Middle Ages there is the story of Phyllis and Aristotle. The story illustrates the power of women over men. Phyllis is a young woman, probably just a teenager, who talks Aristotle , a old man with great experience and wisdom, into getting down on his hands and knees and crawling around on the ground while she rides him. In most images illustrating this story, Phyllis has put a bridle in Aristotle's mouth and leads him by its reigns. In many images Phyllis also has a whip with which to motivate Aristotle with strikes to his rear. Poor Aristotle! :) Talk about delightful! There are different versions of the story and if anyone is interested I suggest she Google "Aristotle Phillis" (without the quotes).

Classical ScholarMar 09 2011 11:57am
I meant Google "Aristotle Phyllis" (Phyllis with the "y"), but "Aristotle Phillis" ("i" instead of "y") will also work.

Ashesh... Today's Omphale just might see to it that Herakles be fixed so that 'she' would have NOTHING to erect or to need a cumbersome chastity device. So much better the new improved male have NO UNSIGHTLY BULGE IN 'her' DELICATE LINGERIE as 'she' serves the other handmaidens.

Ascendant FemaleMar 25 2011 4:31am
... of course the Modern HER-akles shall display much more appealing graceful feminine bulge from the pert hormone induced breasts coquettishly blossoming beneath 'her' silken and lace brasierre for the amusement of the new race of Omphale's to reign supreme...

Ascendant FemaleMar 25 2011 4:39am
I like better the image of an intact Herakles going about constantly aroused and not allowed relief. A man is slave to his member and his member slave to woman. An intact, constantly aroused Herakles would be a constant graphic reminder of this natural slavery of man to woman. If Herakles were lower than the lowest serving girl, who might the lowest serving girl be? I imagine it might be a girl just old enough to begin service--maybe just ten years old. I imagine the little girl supervising the mighty Herakles in making a bouquet of flowers for Omphale. She sternly rubukes him when his powerful but clumsy fingers break the stems of the flowers. And Herakles says, "I'm sorry ma'am. I will try to do better."

Dear different... I've often heard males posit that their inferior sexual apparati be kept so that they suffer unrequieted. Yet I suspect this is merely because even if not fulfilled males enjoy the sexual excitement they gather from their FALSE MASCULINE self-image. This seems just once again thinking highly of themselves. It would appear therfore the problem of their ego is still intact as long as they can keep a self-image of being male - even in frustration. Yes, it would be good to see ex-macho males cowering under the thumb of Females be they of a wide range of age (but PLEASE do NOT include pedophilic fantasy!), however the problem is the imagined power an intact male gets through masculine urges. It would be better to have a world where Women find great fulfillment and amusement from having fully obliterated male pride, feeling exhileration at seeing the male broken, ashamed of the very impotence of his maleness... and his never being able to look upon his Female Superior eye to eye.

Ascendant FemaleMar 25 2011 7:24pm
The comments here have gotten away from the poll question: Are men intimidated by prospect of female supremacy? I don't know about most men, but I am. I know I am a male chauvinist but I cannot help it. I hate the idea of men being inferior to women and being subjugated to them. But that is what seems to be coming. I cannot believe how badly girls are beating the boys K-12 and young women just dominating college. Because of their greater education, they are just going to take over everything. I think most males would be intimidated by the prospect of female supremacy if they realized how surely its coming. I think most males are in denial. I would like to deny it but I cannot deny the facts. Female Supremacy is coming. The best hope for males is that women are truly superior morally as well as intellectually.

I have come full circle in the last several years, and now am absolutely convinced of natural female superiority. There is no disputing the facts, and the self-confidence that young women are embracing about their inherent superiority over males is the most intimidating of all. There is no obstacle that they believe they can't tackle and scale, least of all the problem of surpassing males in any aspect of their life if they so choose. I am a late-middle aged manager of a large company with almost 27 years of experience, but today my boss is a young women who is only 29 with 9 years of experience that I hired and supervised right off the college campus. She is sailing past me as if I didn't exist and from her perspective, I am irrelevant. That is somewhat intimidating. Now I hope to survive better than some of the males I know who are out of jobs or not so well off financially, but women are going to rule this world, and rightfully so since they are superior to men in practically everything. Maybe not all women superior to all men, but on average women are seizing power from us and this will continue for awhile. I'm trying to embrace the new order now, by getting involved in feminist organizations and promoting their issues, including mentoring and promoting the young female professionals that work for me (I'd do it for males too, except there aren't any). I think this is the way I'll try to navigate my way toward the coming changes.

David2Jun 03 2011 7:50am
Ascendant Female - you terrify me. Your wrath for males, feeling exhilaration at seeing the male fully broken, ashamed of the very impotence of his maleness....what happened to make you so despise men? I believe in ultimate female superiority, but one aspect of that is the moral authority that I expect to be above that of the worst male psychological terrorism, and what you espouse doesn't meet my expectations. I hope your thoughts are in the minority when women assume their rightful place.

There was a time, way back when, that patriarchy seemed like the ideal antidote to the abusive, crumbling system of femacho matriarchal domination. Now FFWD>>> a few millennia and whaddowesee? Yep, you guessed it, an abusive, crumbling system of macho patriarchal domination. But do they begin as abusive? No, they do not. At first, in either instance, a newly ascendant sex for the most part tends to behave in a just and reasonable manner. However, over time, because of the lack or complete absence of equality, abuseful behavior sets in over time through having nobody there to moderate their behavior, and in turn be moderated in the same way by them. This is indeed proof if any mere needed that monosexual dominance is a degenerative phenomenon. Happily, this degeneration can be avoided if BOTH sexes just QIUT ANIMALISTICALLY BEATING THEIR CHESTS (and jiggling their mammaries, in the womens case) and share the levers of power, so that they may check each others errantcy in order to FOREVER curtail abuse, disrespect and injustice! An intimidated guy is right. Try to visualize for a moment what a female dominated society would look like: a world where the vast majority of political and business leaders, professionals and public servants are women. Imagine walking down the street and seeing working women everywhere but very few men (except perhaps as cleaners or manual labourers or pushing baby carriages). Imagine going to a public event and seeing dozens of policewomen as security but no policemen. Imagine walking into a boardroom where everyone seated at the table is a women while the ones sitting behind taking notes and serving coffee are men. This is the kind of world we are talking about and it is coming about faster than we think. How many men thinking about such a world cannot be at least somewhat intimidated? We have been turned from rulers to ruled in the span of a couple generations. In the end, though, we will have no choice but to adjust to our new subservient status in the world. The good news is we've come nearly half-way and we're getting used to the idea of female authority. And the faster we adapt, the better off we'll be.

PrognosticatorJun 22 2011 2:23pm
The subordinate sex, wether men or women hold sway, always trail behind the doms in physical strength and bodily development. Therefore, manual labouring jobs requiring big, strong, diamond-hard musculature will be EXCLUSIVELY occupied by women, in the instance you cite, dear Prognosticator.

an intelligent life formJun 22 2011 3:57pm
Prognosticator is right. We men are getting used the idea of female authority and "the faster we adapt, the better off we'll be." However, to repeat myself from above: "The best hope for males is that women are truly superior morally as well as intellectually." Imagine if the typical woman of the future turned out to an "Omphale rules" or an "Ascendant Female"! Like David2, just the thought of this terrifies me.

An intelligent life form: That may have been true in the past, but in today's world it is education, information and technological know-how that count. Since women are becoming ever-more dominant in these fields, it is therefore quite logical that men, though physically bigger and stronger, will be taking orders from smaller, but intellectully and psychologically superior, women.

PrognosticatorJul 14 2011 12:16pm
True, Prognosticator, but in order to retain that power they may need physical, as well as intellectual and psychological supremacy. Where one sex is dominant over the other, all bases must be covered in order that sex to solidify it's power base, so as to prevent the subordinate sex from entertaining "ideas above it's station". For further elaboration, google The Dominant Sex, by Mathilde and Mathias Vaerting.

I disagree with *an intelligent life form* that women will need physical supremacy to maintain themselves as the dominant sex. In a equal opportunity, competitive world where the winner is the more educated person, women will be superior to men. I agree with Prognosticator that "men, though physically bigger and stronger, will be taking orders from smaller, but intellectually and psychologically superior women." As a man, I really feel humiliated at having to take to orders from a younger woman that I tower over.

It appears to me that the greatest determinate of inferiority is wasting half your day making bizarre comments on this lame website. Some of you sickos go on and on and on. I'm into FemDom but, don't you fu*kers ever look at porn? Women aren't superior to men. It's a huge sexual trigger for us guys, but dial it down a notch or two. You're scaring the horses and children. The only reason we have seen a change in educational trends is due to a dramatic change in the methods of instruction at the secondary level. Now, I might add, the US ranks at the bottom of the industrialized world in education, but when males were educated better, or there wasn't a female bias, the US ranked #1 globally. Way to carry the ball, chicks. The educational pendulum will right itself, and all children will be given equal opportunity. In the real world, everyone is not driven by wild fantasies of a FemDom ruled world. K?

@a, you say "The subordinate sex always lag behind the dominant sex in strength and stature, be they men or women." This may be historically true of the human species until now, but times change. Now brain is more important than brawn and knowledge is more important than physical strength. One cannot predict the future from history.

A. I. GAug 12 2012 4:25pm
@Spank Me (occasionally), my understanding of "FemDom" and "Female Supremacy" is that they involve the notion that every woman is superior to every man, simply by virtue of being a woman. Of course, this is nonsense. I think talk about the overall superiority of one sex or another is a waste of time. There are so many factors involved and weighing them all them is impossible, especially when one considers that process of weighing must necessarily involve subjective value judgments. However, I think it meaningful to talk about whether or not the AVERAGE MAN is superior to the AVERAGE WOMAN in some trait, or vice-versa. I regard it as fact that in the U.S., the average man is taller, faster, and stronger than the average woman. I also regard it as fact that in the U.S. the average girl outperforms the average boy in school and that the average woman is now better educated than the average man (since about 2009 give or take a year). More and more it becomes clear to me that the average female is naturally superior as a student to the average male (females outperforming males in schools is a worldwide phenomena, given equal opportunity.) (Note: being naturally superior as a student does not necessarily mean being superior in intelligence, for there are more factors to being a good student than IQ). It is also a fact that at the end of 2009 in the U.S., the ratio of males in prision to females in prision was about 10 to 1. This fact makes a prima facie case (not necessarily conclusive case) that women are morally superior to men. The most important fact of all is that our world has become a "knowledge worker" world and given that about 60% of college graduates in the U.S. (and many other developed countries), women can dominate every occupation requiring college education, if they chose to do so. Although, it makes no sense to me to talk about the overall superiority of this or that sex, it does make sense to talk about the overall dominance of this or that sex, where dominance doesn't mean any FemDom (or MaleDom) BS, but simply which sex holds the most power. It is clear to me that men have always been the dominant sex (average man holding more power than average woman). It is also clear to me that times may be changing and that in the U.S. we seem to be heading toward a matriachy (not FemDom or Female Supremacy). If you disagree, please show me where I am wrong. I really would like to be shown where I am wrong. Given that 60% of college graduates in the U.S. are female, and that women earn more master's degrees and more doctorates than men, what is to stop women from becoming 60% of all lawyers, doctors, managers, CEOs, scientists, professors, judges, civil servants, mayors, governors, legislators, and future presidents? What is to stop women as a whole from becoming more powerful than men? I say that nothing will stop them. Prove me wrong. Please.

A. I. G.Aug 12 2012 4:26pm
I understand what you are saying, A.I.G., but men have not always been dominant. When male dominance was at its height, men held all the power, including physically. This is because the size/strength disparity is an artificially generated and maintained phenomenon. Men DEMANDED that women MUST be weak, soft, submissive and fellatingly dependant on men for the food they ate, the clothing on their backs and the roofs over their heads. Women's options were at one time severely restricted, including the forms of exercise they could take. They were once BARRED from the weight rooms in gyms, restricted only to exercise that shed one type of weight (fat) thus cutting off access to exercise that piles on the other type of weight (muscle). Women got a raw deal in sports, too, providing they were even ALLOWED to participate. Why do you think they created NETBALL?!!? Why else would the two Saudi women have performed so dysmally at the London Olympics? Their nation have been repressing women for sooo long, that they may well be among the weakest women on earth. So as soon as female dominance is in full swing, irrispective of the situation that we may be in economically, or wether brawn or brain is more important, women WILL DEMAND that men be physically MUCH weaker, and they stronger, and be as dependant on women for everything. Only in their case cunnilingally so.

an intelligent life formAug 14 2012 4:48pm
@an intelligent life form. The size/strength disparity is not artifically generated and maintained. It arose as a feature in human evolution. To the best of my knowledge all discoveries of past human remains going back to when the first humans evolved show that the average male has always been larger and stronger. Can you cite any biological anthropologists or evolutionary biologists who have discovered otherwise? ********** As far as men barring women from weight rooms goes, weight rooms are a very recent phenomena in human history for either men or women. For most of human history, the vast majority of men and women worked at manual labor. They kept fit by working, not exercising. Similarly, organized sport on the level practiced in modern times was unheard of. If you want to know what the daily life of humans has been for people before the industrial revolution, read books on daily life before say 1800. These would describe the life of humans for probably over 99% of their history. ********** I have noticed on this website that many people, apparently both male and female, associate physical superiority with overall superiority. Men who feel inferior to women apparently fantasize about women being bigger and stronger than men. There is poll after poll about this. ********** But this is the age of the knowledge worker, and all evidence points to women being better suited to it, i.e., coming out more successful, more powerful. They may or may not be overall superior and I think you can go round and round about that. But holding power is not subjective but objective, measurable. ********** The thesis in a nutshell is that because 60% of college graduates in the U.S. are women, then women can gain (if they want to) 60% of all the positions of prestige, high earnings, and power in U.S. The thesis predicts a matriachy in the U.S., with women becoming the dominant sex and men becoming the second sex. Can you produce any good argument(s) based on fact that would disprove that thesis? Or alternativelly, can you produce any good argument(s) based on fact that would prove that women will not choose to gain 60% of all positions of presitige, high earnings, and power in the U.S.?

Just google (is a verb, now) 'The Dominant Sex' by Mathilde and Mathias Vaerting. I hope this goes some way to answering some of your questions, and challenging your assumptions. You'll find it atop of page one of the search results.

an intelligent life formAug 16 2012 4:26pm
I am aware of "The Dominant Sex." It was published in 1923, which is ancient for a supposedly book in science (sociology). To the best of my knowledge, the thesis of the book has not been accepted by modern sociologists. Wikipedia has only a stub article on Mathilde Vaerting. In short, I am not convinced by it. ********** In any case, the question I am interested in is, "Will U.S. society become a matriarchy?" I think the evidence points to that. What counter-evidence is there?

A. I. G.Aug 17 2012 8:19am
There are indeed strong indications that not only the U.S. but the world may very well head that way. Although it may take a long time for that change to occur, due to still strong, yet ever weakening resistance from the still extant patriarchal powers-that-be. Modern sociologists rejection of the Vaerting' thesis is but one of many examples of this resistance to change, for nobody likes to give up power. If you were to read the book, you would find other examples of that resistance. Such as, in ancient teutonic tombs, female skeletons were found ranging up to seven feet in length. Also in history. Kids, are never tought about such great women like Aspasia, teacher of Aristotle, or Semiramis, a great Armenian queen of antiquity. Where evidence of such female greatness is discovered, efferts were, and still are made to re-bury them in order to maintain cruel, tyrannical and bulls.h.i.t. social norms A.K.A. patriarchal rules. Or matriarchal rules, when the jackboot is on the other foot. P.S. Why does the the subordinate sex lag behind the dominants in bodily growth? Because the dominants will not let them do anything! Such enforced inactivity WILL have a marked effect on bodily development.

In short, what is to stop women as a whole from becoming more powerful than men than in the U.S.? I say that nothing will stop them. Can anyone prove me wrong?

I'd say not even those idiots in the crescent declaring a global jihad will stop them. After what generations of women had suffered under patriarchy, it's good to see them exercising their long abeyed powers.

an intelligent life formAug 28 2012 4:24pm
I want to add to my comment above listing 7 factors pointing to our society becoming a matriarch. (8) Recent statistics show that more and more women are taking over (becoming the majority) in numerous fields requring higher education. Google "forbes 20 Surprising Jobs Women Are Taking Over". I see nothing to stop them from taking over every field requiring a higher education. (9) Recent studies in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Estonia, Argentina and Israel show that now women score higher on IQ tests. Google "girls higher IQ than boys." How can men manage women if women are smarter, better educated, more ambitious, work harder, and are better managers than men? (10) Recent studies also show that women are poised to become "The Richer Sex." Google (The Richer Sex"). Consequences include the average wife earning more than her husband. In a marrige where the wife outearns the husband, who will wear the pants? If the wife is the sole breadwinner, what's left for the husband but to become a househusband? I say women in the U.S. will become the dominant sex and we men will become the subordinate sex. I do not like this, but I have to call the shots as I see them. Nothing will stop our society from becoming a matriarchy. Can anyone prove me wrong? Come on, Macho Men, where are you?

A. I. G.Sep 02 2012 11:27am
I think, maybe all the macho men are repeatedly shreiking "FREAK!" and dying of apoplexy induced cardiac arrest. 'They send the Heart Police to put you under cardiac arrest, and as they drag you through the door they tell you that you failed a test.'.

an intelligent life formSep 04 2012 3:40pm
I want to add still another comment pointing to our society becoming a matriarchy: (12) Numerous studies indicate that women make better leaders than men. See http://www.forbes.com/sites/friedaklotz/2011/11/08/why-women-make-better-leaders/2/ ***** and ***** http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikaandersen/2012/03/26/the-results-are-in-women-are-better-leaders/ ***** and ***** http://www.patheos.com/blogs/tonyjones/2012/05/10/proof-women-are-better-leaders-than-men/ ***** and ***** http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/cutting-edge-leadership/201003/why-women-make-better-leaders-men. I am a strong believer in stocks for men it could be done very cheaply and its hugely popular with men and women alike it would consist of a large room with rows of stocks, there would be no need for air conditioning or heating, the in the summer the man would sweat and swelter, in the winter he would freeze, the woman would place the man in ,there would be no time limit ,she would carry the key he would be at her mercy when he is released there are several advantages to this, wherever this happens would be a trouble free zone if he is firmly locked in he cant cause trouble the woman would be keeping him in line while enjoying the benefits of a man free day, keeping cool in the pool or relaxing in an air conditioned cafe while he swelters in the stocks when she feels like it she can wander over to the stocks room to consider releasing him or letting him stew a little longer

Quite compelling arguments, A.I.G., although some contend that men still earn more degrees in higher-earning fields (e.g. science, engineering, business). But even this is changing. And in some parts of the world (Sweden e.g.), the overall ratio is well in excess of 60-40 (I read recently that OECD is predicting Swedish women will comprise 78% of total university graduates by 2020). US numbers aren't quite that high but still higher than 60%, if memory serves.

StatsguyNov 14 2012 11:19am
@Statsguy. From your pen-name, I assume you are interested in stats, so I’m going to give you some to mull over. (1) I have contended that women will become the dominant sex, not necessarily because they have conspired to this as a group but because the individual decisions of millions of girls and women are leading to that outcome, given the female advantage in education. ********** (2)This process seems to be gaining intensity. Young women in the U.S. today seem to be becoming even more career minded and achievement seeking. A 2012 Pew study showed that there has been “a gender reversal on career aspirations” – “Young women now top young men in valuing a high-paying career.” (Source: http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2012/04/19/a-gender-reversal-on-career-aspirations/). **********. (3) You mentioned the “higher-earning fields.” According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), The 15 highest paying occupations for 2012 are in ascending order: 15. Pharmacists ($112,160; 272,320 employed); 14. Air Traffic Controller ($114,460; 23,580 employed); 13. Sales Managers ($116,860; 328,230 employed); 12. Airline Pilots, Copilots, and Flight Engineers ($118,070; 68,350); 11. Financial Manager ($120,450, 477,690 employed); 10. Industrial-Organizational Psychologists ($124,160; 1,230); 9. Computer and Information Systems Managers ($125,660; 300,830 employed); 8. Marketing Managers ($126,190; 168,410); 7. Natural Science Managers ($128,230; 47,510); 6. Architectural and Engineering Managers ($129,350; 184,530); 5. Lawyer ($130,490; 570,950); 4. Petroleum engineer ($138,980; 30,880); 3. Chief executive Officers ($176,550; 267,370); 2. Orthodontists and Dentists ($161,750-$204,670; 101,400); 1. Doctors and Surgeons ($168,650-$234,950; 618,000+). ********** (4) Not all high-earning occupations in this list require advanced degrees. However, I think they all require at least a bachelor’s degree; so, other things being equal, women have a better chance than men of dominating these occupations. I said “other things being equal,” but they are not because it is generally recognized that men do better in the STEM fields – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Actually, it is a bit misleading to say that men do better in the science fields because we are really talking about the physical sciences here—women do better in the biological sciences. ********** (5) Although it is true that many of the STEM fields do have higher starting salaries, they level off. So, looking at the average salaries of the top earning occupations is a better measure. ********** (6) Three of the top five occupations do require advanced degrees: lawyers, dentists, and doctors. One may not need an advanced degree to be a petroleum engineer, but there are masters and doctorates in the field. One may not need an MBA or other advanced degree to be a CEO, but I would not be surprised if a majority do. In addition to salary one should consider the employment level. Men have an advantage in the field of petroleum engineering, but there are only 30,880 of them. Doctors are not only in the highest paid occupation but also in the largest among the top 15. I contend that eventually at least 60% of doctors will be women. That means that 370,800 of those in the top earning occupation will be women and 247,200 will be men, a difference of 123,600, which offsets the male advantage in petroleum engineering by a huge amount. Dentists are in the second highest occupation and I see no reason why should dominate that profession also. If one can be a doctor one can be a dentist. Women have no problem working on teeth given that the overwhelming majority of dental hygienists are women. The second largest occupation in the top five is that of the lawyers -- 570,950. If men have a natural advantage in the STEM fields (and I believe they do), women have a natural advantage in the language skills and human relations fields, and I count law among those fields. Thus, I think eventually women will dominate law by better than 60% of its practioners. However, for the time being, let’s go with the 60% figure, which would mean that 342,570 lawyers will be women and 228,380 will be men, for a difference of 114,190. The fifth top earning occupation is that of CEOs with 267,370 currently employed. Here women have to contend with the famous “glass ceiling,” but even then I predict that women will achieve equality because they are already over 50% of the managers, which would be the pool from which CEOs are drawn. ************ (7) The third highest occupation employment-wise is that of the financial managers. This group is already dominated by women. Thus, the three largest occupations employment-wise will be dominated by women. Women also already dominate the marketing manager occupation and are poised to dominate the pharmacy occupation. ********** (8) When one talks of power in a society, the legal profession is the most important profession; it is the stepping stone to the judiciary and the political arena. That profession will be dominated by the women. (Sources for the top 15 occupations earnings-wise: There are many; here are three: http://www.cnbc.com/id/47984925/America_s_Highest_Paying_Jobs_2012; . . . . .http://finance.yahoo.com/news/highest-paying-jobs-in-the-u-s-.html ; . . . . . http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/these-are-americas-top-15-highest-paying-jobs-in-2012/question-2773373/)

Thanks A.I.G., that's excellent research on your part. Another factor to consider is that something like 13 of the 15 fastest growing job categories (not all of which are extremely high paying but generally require higher education) are already female dominated. While some men are starting to break into these "pink-collar" occupations, they will likely remain female dominated for many years to come. I wonder how this transformation will affect some of Western society's basic assumptions/power structures, etc. as it continues. You should consider starting a new thread/poll because this interesting discussion is kind of hidden at the bottom of very old polls.

StatsguyNov 22 2012 2:00pm
@Statsguy. Perhaps I should consider starting a new thread/poll as you suggest. However, have you noticed that LikeLike.com revised its site around August? One improvement is indicating the date and time of a posting. But the functionality that flags new polls seems to have disappeared. Either that or there have been no new polls in about three months, which is hard to believe. For example, in the politics category, they are no polls with the words "Romney", "2012", or "Libya" in the the titles. It's hard to believe that no one created a poll on these current events. To search, use the Microsoft CTRL-F function; the LikeLike search function function doesn't seem to work either, although it seems to me it once worked OK.

A. I. G.Nov 24 2012 8:50am
@A.I.G.. I noticed the same things. The date and time feature is a big improvement but I couldn't figure out why there were no new polls except perhaps people have just tuned out of the website and are using Facebook, Twitter, etc. The only way to know for sure is to launch a new poll! Back to our conversation, I noticed in an earlier comment that you cited "The Richer Sex" by Liza Mundy. Though I haven't read it, I'm seen enough reviews (including the Time magazine preview) to know that this is a fascinating (and eye-opening) account of what's going on in society. What's also interesting is how the reversal in economic gender roles seems to be affecting traditional ideas about sex, marriage, power, etc. (Mundy even claims high-earning women want sex more than their lower- or non-earning spouses!). Wow. Then there's the whole phenomenon (reported in the NYT this past April, I believe) of men moving into "pink-collar" occupations (although the numbers are still relatively small, the percentage increases over the last decade are quite large). One thing I keep wondering about is if/when all of this will translate into more female representation in politics. The recent U.S. elections saw increases in the Senate (20 instead of 17) and the House (78 instead of 73), but still pretty minor in light of what seems to be underway in the general economy. I suppose there's a "lag" factor involved but just interested to see what you think.

@Statsguy Re women in politics. I’ve stated my basic thesis in slightly different ways. The best statement is conditional; e.g., “The thesis in a nutshell is that because 60% of college graduates in the U.S. are women, then women can gain (IF they want to) 60% of all the positions of prestige, high earnings, and power in U.S.” (emphasis added). So, there’s an IF factor. Above, I cited a 2012 Pew study that showed that there has been “a gender reversal on career aspirations” – “Young women now top young men in valuing a high-paying career.” It’s a matter of life decisions made by millions of individual women, not women acting as a group, although there are feminist organizations that try to effect that and in fact have played a leadership role for women. In the educational and economic arenas, it is clear that women have chosen to excel as well as they can. However, as you point out, there is a lag in politics. Let’s look at the three branches separately. I see no reason why women will not dominate the JUDICIARY. It agrees with a major choice women have already made – education in the law. Add to that women’s higher career aspirations per the Pew pole. Thus, I see no reason why 60% of all lawyers shouldn’t be women and from that it is a short step to 60% of all judges being women, including Supreme Court Justices. The power of the courts seem has grown and now they seem to be “making law.” The EXECUTIVE branch can be divided into three parts. First, the civil service will surely be dominated by women because of their superior education. At least 60% of rank and file civil servants, of the supervisors and managers, and of their executives will be women. There is no glass ceiling in the civil service as there is in private corporations because of civil service personnel laws and regulations. Second, there are the appointed cabinet members and department heads. Women will be 60% of them because they will be 60% of the pool from which they are drawn. Thirdly and most conspicuously, there are the elected President and Vice-President. I predict that in a fairly short time we will have our first woman president and after that they might be 50% or more of our presidents. Lastly, there is the LEGISLATIVE branch. As you pointed out, women are very much a minority, despite the fact that there are both Democrat and Republican organizations that work to elect more women to Congress. It is well known that most women try to avoid direct confrontation (unless they lose it in particular situations!). Along with this, I read an opinion that women shy away from running from Congress (and state legislatures) because of all the mudslinging and in-your-faceness that seems to be required. I am not willing to say that this theory is right or wrong. Time will tell, I guess. If is true, we would probably have a federal government consisting of Congress that remained a “boys club,” a female dominated judiciary, a female dominated civil service, and a sometime male and sometime female president. I think the net power would belong to the women, especially since there is a fourth factor – the ELECTORATE. In a democracy the power ultimately belongs to the electorate. Women voters outnumber the men; they will be the richer sex and able to buy lobbyists and advertisements for their issues and candidates. Also, women’s groups are much better organized and more powerful and more influential than men’s groups. A president, a senator, or a representative may be male but he gained his position because he met with women’s approval. Just look at this year’s presidential election: http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/11/07/4-ways-women-won-the-election/

A. I. G. Nov 27 2012 11:57am
I saw a news program the other day that predicted that Hillary Clinton might run for President in 2016. The pundits said that she would be the top contender in the Democratic Party primary since she almost won last time and if she won that she would be hard to beat in the national elections by the Republicans. Then the pundits agreed that if Michelle Obama ran for a federal Senator seat for Illnois that will be coming up, she would probably win and would be a likely candidate for president in 2024 (she would have as much federal government experience as Hillary and Barack Obama had for the job when they first ran). Let us assume Hillary runs and wins in 2016, holds two terms, and that Michelle runs and wins in 2024, and holds two terms to 2032. Then we would have 16 straight years of a woman being President. If that happened, I wouldn't be surprised to see an all-woman Supreme Court by 2032. 16 years of a woman being president might induce more women to run for state governors and state and federal congresses. Something to think about.

Also of note: New Hampshire is now ruled by a "matriarchy." http://www.thegrindstone.com/2012/11/08/mentor/new-hampshire-matriarchy-maggie-hassan-kelly-ayotte/

Hi again A.I.G. - I noticed that about New Hampshire and wondered if it was a preview of the future. Hillary does seem to have a lot of momentum for 2016 but four years is a long time and she seems really tired after her Secretary of State gig. But I wouldn't be surprised to see her recover and win in 2016. The other thing is the Republicans might start fielding some credible female candidates after their disastrous 2012 campaign. We could be looking at two female candidates going head to head in 2016 or 2020!

StatsguyJan 15 2013 11:24am
@Statsguy. I would like to state my thesis again: Because 60% of college graduates in the U.S. are women, then women can gain, IF they want to, 60% of all the positions of prestige, high earnings, and power in U.S. More and more I am conscious of the IF part of the thesis. The extent to which the future will be feminine depends on what women want and choose, not on what men want and choose. . . . . . . . . . . Above I opined that in the U.S. in the future federal government, women are likely to dominate the judiciary, the civil service, and the executive branch appointed officials. They will become equal (or better) at gaining the presidency. However, men are likely to continue to dominate the legislature because, I opined, they are not as willing to enter the elective process. I am reconsidering that. I think it is true in the U.S. today, but that might change. What caused me to reconsider was some research into women in the legislature in other countries. . . . . . . . . . According to a CNN report, the U.S ranks 73rd among 186 countries according to the percentage of women in the lower or single house of government. The U.S. has 16.8% female representation in its lower house, tied with Turkmenistan. Sweden, South Africa, Iceland, Netherlands, and Finland all have legislatures with 40% or better female representation, with Norway and Belgium not far behind. (Source: http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2010/11/world/chart.women.govt.worldwide/index.html). If women are not reluctant to gain this kind of representation in other developed countries, then there is no innate barrier preventing women from doing the same in the U.S. . . . . . . . . . . . . It’s a matter of what women want, and what they want is changing. Young women in the U.S. today are more ambitious than young men. (Source: http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2012/04/19/a-gender-reversal-on-career-aspirations/). . . . . . . . . Two countries to watch as potential matriarchies are Sweden and Iceland: (Sweden: http://petticoatpolitics.blogspot.com/2007/12/sweden-ranked-1-in-2007-gender-gap.html; also see my earlier citation on Sweden) . . . (Iceland: http://www.thenation.com/article/158279/most-feminist-place-world#) . . . . . . . . Iceland furnishes an example of women cleaning up a mess created by men (“too much testosterone”). This example provides ammunition to those who argue that we would all be better off if women ran our governments. . . . . . . . . . . I think Hillary will recover and run. If so, she has a good chance becoming our next president. For the Republicans, I think Nikki Haley, governor of South Carolina, might be a good choice, but I would have to learn more about her. Hillary would have much more foreign relations credentials than Nikki, so Nikki would have to show more credentials in domestic affairs and the economy would have to be in worse shape than today. One thing seems certain. It will not be long before we have a woman president. When that happens I think you will find a lot more girls saying, “I want to be President when I grow up.” Some of them might, while others will fill up the legislatures.

A. I. G.Jan 18 2013 9:39am
Iceland is holding parliamentary elections this April - it will be interesting to see how women do. Iceland's outgoing Socialist-Green government is/was actually majority female: - 5 women (including the PM) and only 4 men. Polls seem to be indicating a conservative victory, however, so we'll have to see what happens. One useful and reliable site in charting this trend is the Inter-Parliamentary Union's Women in National Parliaments page. You can find it at: http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/world.htm. Another thing I find of interest is the 60% figure we keep throwing around in terms of degrees awarded. While it would be nice to think that more boys and men might start to take education seriously and do better in school, the US DoE medium-term projections are as follows (see http://fabiusmaximus.com/2009/07/07/women/): "Projections of Education Statistics to 2016“, Department of Education, December 2007 — A forecast for 2016; 64% of Associates degrees will be awarded to women, 61% of Bachelor’s degrees, 63% of Master’s degrees, 58% of Doctoral degrees, 58% of Professional degrees Admittedly, these are a bit old but note that the Fabius Maximus website considers that the DoE is "almost certainly too conservative about this trend." Note also that in some professional degrees (civil law in Quebec, for example) the ratio is now 70:30 in favour of women. Interesting times, indeed.

StatsguyJan 19 2013 9:10am
@Statsguy. Thank you for the information about Iceland. I will try to pay attention to Iceland’s parliamentary elections in April to see what’s happens. . . . . . . . . . . I brought up discussion of Sweden and Iceland myself. However, as a rule, I am suspicious about comparisons of the U.S. with the north European countries because they are so much smaller than the U.S. in population and GDP and don’t have the worldwide military, economic, and international relationship responsibilities that the U.S. has. The analogy is generally said to be the weakest of sometimes good arguments because acceptance depends on how much one agrees with the relevance and closeness of the comparison. According to Wikipedia, Iceland has a population of 320,060, so the population of this “country” would be about the same as St. Louis, our 58th largest city (again according to Wikipedia). Sweden, the most populous of the Nordic countries, has a somewhat larger population (9,540,065) than our largest city, which is New York (8,244,910), but we have three metropolitan areas more populous than Sweden (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). The New York metropolitan area has more than twice the population of Sweden. However, I wasn’t really comparing countries but asking if there is any innate difference in women that would kept them from participating in legislative politics at the same level of men. That women in some many countries participate in legislative politics at a much higher rate than in the U.S. indicates to me that there is no INNATE difference but some kind of cultural one, which feminist leaders are working hard to change. Given the success rate of U.S. feminists to date, I’m thinking they will gain their objective – maybe in a couple of decades. . . . . . . . . . . Thank you also for providing the Inter-Parliamentary Union's Women in National Parliaments site and the Fabius Maximus site. I have bookmarked them. . . . . . . . . . The “60% figure” has the virtue of conciseness. We would be more accurate if we said about (or around or approximately) 60%, but that gets tiresome. Laziness triumphs over accuracy! Whatever the true figure for the female-male ratio of college graduates, it would probably be worse if some colleges didn’t help the boys out in the interests of diversity. Sources: http://www.mindingthecampus.com/originals/2010/06/the_quiet_preference_for_men_i.html . . . . . http://educationnext.org/gender-gap/ (comment by RW) . . . . . . . . . . . It does not surprise me that a law school might have a 70 to 30 percent female to male ratio. Given that “about” 60% of college graduates are women and good evidence that the average woman reads and communicates better than the average man, the law seems a “natural” for women. And of course, the legal profession is a feeder for the judiciary.

I live in a family ruled by women, my mother in law and her two daughters (my wife and my sister in law). All women in that family are staunchest believers and practitioners of female supremacy and as you might figure out they keep their husbands under a severe regime of female tyranny. My brother in law was forced to marry a woman who usually give him beatings and treats her husband as her domestic servant. My mother in law has a motto "A well domesticated husband should tremble in fear when on realizing that his wife is angry" so you can imagine the kind of treatment that she often gives her husband. Such is the life who have to endure the men of this family, including me of course. But after all it is not as bad as it seems, we have finally learned that women are superior, that we are being educated as good husbands and that they have every right to treat us as they please. If you live a similar situation, you might want to share experiences: tamedhusband68@gmail.com

Of course they are intimidated... but really, there is no alternative. the males shall always hear of "the old days" when they held the majority of power, and so the remnant of their false egos may always be abraised somewhat. Stil, under female rule and tutelage these things shall be made clear to them as fact of life unalterable. It is just that from now on the Female is primary and shall be for the remainder of human existence.

Ascendant FemaleAug 25 2014 1:50pm
I agree with you, Ascendant Female. From now on the Female is primary and the male is secondary. The Female superior, the male inferior. The Female dominate, the male subordinate. It will take some more decades in the U.S. before the gender reversal is completed, and world-wide it probably wont happen until the next century because of the resistance of Moslem men. But the facts and trends today indicate the future is Female. I hate that. As a male, I hate feeling inferior to Women. I feel humiliated by Women's superiority. I work for a Woman and I feel emasculated when She orders me about. The worst thing is that I know Women will do a better job of running things than males ever did. Poo!!!!

If you’re going to a Sunday game, look for hotel rooms in the downtown area. The business travelers that frequent downtown hotels usually disappear on the weekends, meaning more unoccupied hotel rooms and lower prices. If the stadium happens to be outside of the downtown area – take the ‘49ers Candlestick Park for example – ask the concierge if the hotel offers transportation to and from the stadium. Oftentimes they do, but don’t advertise it unless requested.

Facebook itself has always been a photo-sharing site, but it tended to focus more on photos that people have taken and then uploaded some time later. With Instagram, Facebook was not only extending its reach further into the lives of millions of users -- it was also getting a new stream of real-time information. People still choose and edit which photos they share on Instagram, but they generally do so at the moment they decide to take the picture. While there are plenty of exceptions, a person's Instagram feed is more like a series of visual status updates than a traditional photo album. It shows what you're doing, where you are and what you like, not what you've done.
