Universal Language

Question: When will everyone's primary language be the same (be it Chinese, Physics, or video games)?

I think that the world will never have the same language cuz we?re not the same, even though we r all human beings.

By that logic, Chlorogirl, then people who speak English shouldn't have the same language, because just because we speak English doesn't mean we're the same.

I agree with the above...b/c I give a poo. The middle finger's already the universal language, so what does it matter?

i think that art is the universal language. be it music, dance, or visual arts. not everyone may conciously realize that they understand this language, but it's within our hearts.

with all those internet websites in English and universal-Starbuckization, I would say we will be speaking the same language with 3 or 4 generations

Chinese is a BAD choice for a univeral language. It has no alphabet, is extremely difficult to learn, and is unrelated to the European languages that the majority of the world speaks.

The middle finger is hardly understandable here in Russia. Though maybe the younger generation has caught it from American movies (IMHO most of them are poo). But surely many people simply will not understand what this finger means. As for the future language, my opinion is that the best choice would be two world-wide languages: English and Esperanto.

Although everyone's primary language will remain unchanged, we will one day have a universal auxiliary language; that it, a common second language. This will come about when a certain degree of unity is established among nations.
