depends on age difference my sister is 3 yrs younger.when she was 14 she could beat in a foot race she had stronger legs.when she 16 her biceps were bigger. she was more athaletic we never wrestled or had a fight but she would have won.i dont think there is a certin age if any.i see girls all the time who have more muscle than i did at that age.

It's no longer guaranteed you will become stronger just because you are male. Women are getting stronger every year.

anonymousDec 07 2008 12:13pm
More girls then ever are involved in sports and strength training. Girls start out stronger and more muscular. Now days many girls are often never caught up with by the boys.

Elviscos, do you have experience with a sister being stronger than you? if so could you tell us about it. My sister is 5 years older than me. Although she hardly ever fought me, when I was 13 she got mad at me because I was annoying her and she easily threw me to the ground. That was the last time I remeber of us physically fighting

My half sister is 2 years younger than me at 17 and I am both smaller and weaker than her. Her mother is a big buxom woman while mine was rather small. My father remarried two years after my mother died, from being with a small delicate woman to this (now my stepmother)big, strong and noisy woman. I like her but she is a bit too much sometimes and so is my sister. I don't expect to become stronger than my sister if she's not changing from the athletic big girl she is to a lazy, couch potato. I doubt that this will happen. She has been stronger than me since she was 12-13. She is today 178 cm and 75 kgs and I am 172 cm and 62 kgs.

Kurt, with your half sister being taller, heavier, and stronger than you, how has that affected your relationship with her?

somethingaboutastrongwoman@yahoo.comDec 08 2008 10:48am
I suppose, Kurt should be obedient to his youger sister. Never talk back, never refuse to fulfill any order of hers. Kneel before her as often as possible. This is my recommendation to you, Kurt.

Nick NDec 08 2008 11:11am
Most of the time me and my sister get on just fine, when we were younger she enjoyed the physical advantage she had over me and could be a bit bossy. Our relationship now is more like she is the big sister and my her kid brother. Being bigger and stronger and also quite mature for her age while I am the typical 19 year old partying guy. She sometimes makes me embarrassed showing off her strength in public, lifting me etc. but she is getting better and better. It wasn't fun though about 3 years ago when a 14 year old girl could force her 16 year old brother to do things against his (my) will.

KurtDec 08 2008 10:38pm
My sister was 3 years older than me. She was a gymnast so she was strong. She used to beat me up and take things from me.Once when I was 9 I wanted to steal one of my things back and she caught me. She was so mad, she through me over her shoulder and carried me into the back yard. There she started scissoring my neck so hard i literally went unconscious.I woke up in her bed with her spanking me

People are entitled to post whatever fantasies they want but if read one more post about Dominant Women GYMNASTS overpowering men I think I will go nuts(some of you probably think I am already nuts but that is a different issue). Gymnasts are wonderfully fit coordinated athletes but the nature of their sport requires them to be small and light. Could Mary Lou Retton have beaten up Peter Vidmar? Maybe? With all her muscle development could she have beaten up or overpowered an average sized male? No. A gymnast being physically dominant over someone not exceptionally small is as unlikely as a jockey being physically dominant. So when people post about being overpowered by Female athletes, use volleyball players or rugby players in the fantasy or women who are in any sport that by definition does not require them to be under 5'5" and under 100 lbs.

obedient husbandDec 10 2008 5:25pm
Obedient husband is talking about the top gymnasts in the world, they are in most cases very small, but not all of them. And if you talk about gymnasts that aren't elite, there are many bigger girls, very strong. I know from experience. Gymnasts that work out 4-5 days a week are very very strong. And Mary Lou Retton could probably beat up an average sized man despite the size difference. I am an average sized man that have lost armwrestling matches to more than one female gymnast so I know what I am talking about.

Average manDec 10 2008 10:57pm
My high school girl friend had a little brother who was 3 years younger. They used to get into wrestling matches that would go on until one was able to pin the other. They were about the same size, but she was a little stronger (and a lot meaner). Usually it took her four or five minutes to wear him down to the point where she was able to straddle his chest and pin his arms with her knees. It was actually pretty hot tdo watch these shenanigans, particularly when she was only wearing shorts and a tshirt.

AnonymousDec 11 2008 11:47am
These days girls are more confident and assertive than in past generations. They are no longer being inhibited from participating in sports and developing strength. They are aggressive and competitive. On a level playing field, the girls are proving to be stronger and smarter than the boys. Things are not like they used to be.

i have also lost to (2) 14 year old girl gymnasts in armwrestling who were collecting money for a state tournament outside a local supermarket...i am 47 y.o. and weigh 210 lbs., and happened to be eating lunch on the picnic tables by the front door...the girls started competing in pushup contests and i was amazed that they could both knock out over 50 pushups apiece...one of the girls asked how many i could do and somehow challenged me to "show us what ya got" i managed to do 21 without having a heart failure, which lead them to laugh out loud...one of the girls said that she would bet that Vicky could beat me in armwrestling, so i reluctantly agreed to give it a shot...she literally pinned my arm to the table in less than 10 seconds...this inspired her friend Robin to want to take me on and i ended up losing to her in about 30 seconds...this was quite shocking to lose to both of these teenagers, but definitely gave me an appreciation of how strong these gymnast girls become by training everyday...by the way one of the moms wasn't surprised at all...she said her daughter can beat her 3 uncles also...true story!!!

frank911Dec 18 2008 1:24pm
Been there frank911, both my cousins are gymasts, they do 3x50 pushups every morning, they can do more than 20 pull ups, they can bench 100 lbs for 3-4 times more reps than me. I am 24 they are 15 and 17, I am not embarrased about it anymore since they can beat most of their male relatives (including both their and my fathers) and all the boys in their classes in arm wrestling. Gymnasts are awesome.

My little sister (13) beats me easily. She is taller and stronger than me and, usually plays with me crushing my head between her powerful tights. (I?m 25 years old)I?m only weight 105 and 5?1". My sister (145 - 5?9") toys with me at home every day, and sometimes she knock me out with her tights. Sometimes she forces me to kiss her big butt. What can I do?

Ask Her to sell you to one of Her unrelated friends who could use you as a houseboy and concubine.

My younger sister is a year older than my brother. She used to beat him up sometimes to maintain her dominance. One day she was going to "teach him a lesson" and he totally overwhelmed her. I think she was 11 and he was 10. My neighbor could beat up my brother until he was 15.

realistSep 10 2009 10:31am
My brother used to bully me all the time. But when I was 9 and my brother 12 he pissed me off and I attacked him in rage and kept hitting him until he started crying. After a weak he pulled my hair and me with confidence attacked him again and beat him up again. After that day he never tried to hit me again, instead I used to hit him sometimes when he is annoying. Even now he is 24 and I am 21 and even though smaller I still hit him

The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology, at the University of Colorado in Boulder in 2000 found that female muscle had 75% more endurance over male muscle. The study found that women outlasted men by an average of 75 percent during muscle contractions under a load. But rather than some kind of motivational effect, the study found the difference was due to some feature of the muscles. In studies carried out at the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland, for example, 10 male and nine female strength athletes (powerlifters and body-builders) performed 20 maximal squat lifts, with three minutes of recovery between each lift. After the 20 lifts, the fatigued leg muscles of both males and females had lost about 20-24% of their maximal strength. However, various indicators of muscular power favoured the females. For one thing, the force-time curve an indicator of muscles ability to contract powerfully and quickly changed negatively by 28% in the males over the course of the workout but dropped by only 19% in the females. Females also recovered from the 20-lift session more quickly. One hour after the workout, female lifters leg muscles could generate about 92% as much force as before the session, whereas male muscles were just 79% as strong. Why was the fatigue greater and recovery slower in males? Part of the problem seemed to be that the male lifters nervous systems became less responsive over the course of the workout. From the first to the 20 lift, activation of leg muscles by nerve cells fell by 20-25% in males but held fairly steady in females. While its not clear why male nerve activation should deteriorate more quickly, it is clear that females lose less of their muscular power during heavy-duty resistance training and seem to recover more rapidly once a tough session is over. (Neuromuscular Fatigue and Recovery in Male and Female Athletes during Heavy Resistance Exercise, International Journal of Sports Medicine, vol. 14(2), pp. 53-59, 1993)

I know an 11 year old girl who is very mature physically (and mentally) and her 14 year old brother who still looks like a boy. They are the same height. She actually looks to weigh a little more than him, but I can't tell. I know her arms look bigger and more defined than his. One day I saw him playing around, pushing her. She calmly told him to stop, but he wouldn't listen. Finally, she got angry and pushed him down to the ground. He tried to push back, but she jumped on top of him and held him down, slapping him in the face really hard. She got up and said "I told you to stop" He was on the ground out of breath with a very red face (no doubt from both the heavy slaps and emabarassment). This wasn't the fight of the century and she didn't lift him over her head, but I could see that she was simply beating him up without making a big deal of it.

I got a wake up call this weekend. I am 27 and my sister is 28 and while neither of us have been in shape, I have always been stronger than her. My sister has been working out and lost a ton of weight. I don't work out at all. We ended up arm wrestling and she killed me. It wasn't even close. So, for the time being (and probably for the forseable future), my sister is much stronger than me.

Hi Kurt, does your sister or you have any pic of showing her muscles or lifting guys at orkut ot facebook. what's her name?

A boy should always be stronger than his younger sister. If he has an older sister, he should pass her by the time he's 16

My little cousin is stronger than me and taller. She is13 and I am 16. We often fight but she wins easily and it's really embarassing.

Girls can be pretty diesel when they're little, but they just run out of gas by the time they're about 12. After that boys rule.

even when i was 12 i could beat any of my sisters it depends ont he person i was quite a small child at age 12 i was 1.44m and didnt weight a thing but already had a six pack and was always told i was really strong people joked saying my dad fed me steroids

AnonymousJun 18 2011 8:57pm
LOL - the girl next door was the same way. She was stronger than all of the boys in her class. It would have been fun to see you try to beat her.

AnonymousJun 20 2011 7:54am
She might have beat me when I was 12, but I would have owned her when I was 14, and she would have worshiped my godlike body.

adonisJul 19 2011 1:52pm
Same here. I was a skinny little runt when I was 12, but then I got my growth spurt and I started working out. Now I have a 6 pack, big pecs that I can dance, and bulging biceps, just to name a few. I'm 14 and I'd be about 3 times as strong as my older sister, if I had one :D

musclesAug 19 2011 12:16pm
I started doing push ups and sit ups and stuff when I was 11 and got stronger than my big sister.

AnonymousOct 12 2011 6:06am
Most boys start off about a year ahead of their sisters, and then when they get to about 11 or 12 the girls stop developing so quickly and the boys keep growing until about 21, by which time they should be about twice as strong as their sister would be, even if they don't work out. There are always exceptions though. A small but significant percentage of boys don't develop muscle like other boys and remain skinny and girlish, and this would allow their sisters to become stronger than them if they trained a little.

ticklishNov 05 2011 10:54pm
Actually, boys and girls are about equal in strength until about age 12, when the boys generally start pulling ahead. Of course the strong girls can stay ahead of most boys until about 14. As for fighting, it seems that boys might generally be about a year ahead of girls until about 12, when they start beating all but the toughest girls

wize oneNov 06 2011 7:43am
wize one, that may be the common case but there are obvious exceptions. I was stronger than my twin sister until about 14 when she put on a good 20 pounds and has probably doubled me in strength since

Sounds like your sister started working out. I love it when that happens - lol.

looks like we have a bunch of pussies in here. come on guys someone removes your underwear and you couldnt do anything about it? thats a rape scenario, you are justified to defend yourself. if she has both hands on the underwear she has no guard. easy punch in the jaw and repeat punching on her neck, that drains off all the strength. come on wheres youre inner primates people do you have no testosterone in you you little faggots?

AnonymousMar 12 2012 10:16pm
Yup, these guys who get overwhelmed by younger girls are either pussies or fetishists. But its no shock if an older sister can dominate a younger brother, at least until he's 15-16.

I'm not very big 5'4'' 117 lbs (14 years old), but I work out a lot and I'm in very good shape. I look skinnier than my weight because of my dense muscles. My sister is 18 months older than me. She's got the taller genes from our grandparents and stuff, and she's curvy too. She's 5'8'' and weighs 155 pounds. When we're standing side by side, she's obviously a lot bigger than me, her legs are a lot thicker, her shoulders are broader, and she's 4 inches taller. We're stronger than each other in different ways, though. She's slightly faster than me in a sprint (her legs are long and muscley) but I can outrun her over a longer distance. My mile time is 5:58 (I run a lot and play soccer) while hers is 7:56. When we arm wrestle, I win. I have strong arms built up from hours of climbing trees and rock climbing walls. When we wrestle, though she often wins. She wraps her legs around my waist, and she's too strong for me to get free, then i'm lying face-up while she grapevines her legs around mine and puts her hands on my hands to pin them. Sometimes I can win though, since I'm faster. I can dodge around her, then suddenly slam her with full force. It sometimes works, but she outweighs me by 30 lbs and often I'm the one who ends up falling over. I don't know if I'll ever actually be bigger than her, but I certainly exercise a lot, and I'm planning on bulking up some serious arm muscle when I get older. I will be stronger than her one day, I know it.

zimzAug 01 2013 1:58am
I'm a 16 year old girl, I'm 5'9'' and 175 pounds. I'm not fat, I'm curvy and in shape; I work out at the gym. Anyways, my brother is only 12, and I'm a lot stronger than him. He's only 5'4'' and around 105 pounds. genes can be screwy; I know I'm 5 years older than him, but that's a BIG size difference. I can still pick him up and swing him around. If he annoys me, I just grab his arms and pin him against the wall until he says he'll stop. It's sometimes weird being so much bigger than him. My thighs are each almost as thick as his body, as he's quite thin. I don't know if he ever will be stronger than me.

AmandaAug 14 2013 10:54pm
In my case, never. I'm still taller and heavier than my 23 year old brother. I'm 6'0'' and 195 pounds, in shape, and he's 5'9'' and 140 pounds. We've wrestled a few times, and I was easily able to pin him.

PamelaAug 15 2013 10:00am
@zimz - keep at it. You've already caught up to your sister's arm strength, and you'll soon be bigger than her and stronger in every way.

@Amanda - you sound awesome! But watch out. You're brother is at the age where he'll be rapidly growing and building muscle. In a couple of years, he could be pinning you against the wall.

You guys are idiots. Women don't start off stronger. Taller? Yes. I'm into femdom as much as a lot of you, but I don't lie to myself. Men are naturally built stronger. I've seen my chubby 10 year old brother physically overpower my athletic 15 year old sister. He hasn't hit puberty, and is still tougher. So if any of these stories were true, I'd feel sorry.
