Where do physically strong women find their role models?

Question: Who would have thought a few years ago that message boards would be filled with posts from hundreds of women telling how they had overtaken boyfriends and husbands in strength and muscle development? No doubt about it, more women are pumping iron and coming on strong. I wonder if the growing visibility of women showing off their strength inspires other women. My question is where do women find such role models for the spread of girl power?
