On it's most basic level yes, bit more to it than that however using just this we could also say that instead of master/slave it's just an open relationship where one person is the clear Dom or alpha. Master/slave is on a much more deep and personal level than that.

Also you make a good point how o you know when it's all writing an internet, well that is up to the individual to determine. I know the standards I require to trust someone like that but others have their own.
