If you mean love helping animals as in you want to be a vet, don't be one of those, it's a sad job and you have to put animals down as well, try being a dog walker for a friend or neibour in your spare time.

J.P.I would recomend if you want to do something with animals I would be a zooligist and there is a really good college you could go to in Indiana. It is called Purdue University in West Lafayette.
